yMy Passions
I was wrongfully arrested, and later convicted, at the age of 17 back in February of 1995, and I spent 23 years incarcerated in TDCJ Texas prisons before being released via parole this past November 30, 2017. It's been a long journey to regaining my freedom, and though I am beyond excited to be living my new life as a free man and I'm enjoying the amazing adventure of reintegrating back into society, I have started the new, and more difficult journey, of fighting for me to be fully exonerated. It's not going to an easy journey or fight, but I believe, with my Almighty God and Father on my side and my bull-determination working in harmony with the right people that God puts in my life, we will succeed and truth/justice will prevail to get me exonerated. My number one passion in life is fighting to be exonerated. Once I am exonerated, I want to use my story and exoneration to be a voice against injustices and to help others who have been railroaded by the "system". That is, I want to visit universities and enlighten students, go to legislative bodies of government and campaign for laws to be changed and/or implemented and I want to actively help some people on the inside who were wrongly convicted, but who are having a difficult time proving their innocence due to their being no physical/DNA in their case (as their is no known physical/DNA evidence in my case).
I also enjoy writing, blogging, memorizing inspiring quotes and performing my own songs (rap/R&B), giving creative birth to my writing projects, motivational speaking, riding my bike and exercising, watching all genres of movies, keeping my word, paying it forward, having fruitful conversations, setting and accomplishing worthy goals, and spending time with my circle of family and friends.
